But have you ever scrolled through TikTok and seen videos of Pinoys saying, “Thank you, Kateyki”?
A viral video posted on October 7 by DanVibes Official has taken TikTok by storm, amassing over 6.4 million views, 500,000 likes, and 11,000 comments.
Thanks to her spot-on impersonation, Danieca Goc-ong, also known as DanVibes Official, is now dubbed by netizens as the “Somrutai of the Philippines.”
Confusing as it sounds, blurting out the name Kateyki is a current trend on TikTok, where users are trying to mimic a famous Thai personality named Somrutai Sangchaiphum, or @aonsomrutai, on the platform.

“‘Kateyki in the Philippines. Ka-boses pati,” a TikTok user commented. “Kuhang kuha, hahaha,” replied another to a video of Goc-ong.
Cebu-based elementary teacher Goc-ong, also known as “Teacher Dan”, went viral three years ago for her “Do you wanna build a snowman?” video which quickly turned her into the iconic voice tutor.

But who is “Kateyki,” really?
In many of Sangchaiphum’s videos, she flaunts her lavish lifestyle, shopping for designer bags, shoes and cars, often accompanied by a man in a suit and tie, affectionately called “Kateyki.”

Many dream of living a life like Kateyki. His job as a bodyguard of Sangchaiphum seems fun and adventurous, allowing him to enjoy his boss’ lavish lifestyle while often receiving luxurious gifts from her.
“‘Kateyki is her best friend, supporter, shopper, personal assistant, everything,” a TikTok user commented in one of her videos.
“I’m not sure if I want a doctor or a ‘Kateyki’ in my life,” another user jokingly said.
He also appears in other day-in-the-life videos, where Sangchaiphum showcases her active, sporty lifestyle. No matter where she goes, “Kateyki” is always by her side.
One TikTok user pointed out that it is not “Kateyki,” but “Khun Taggy” in Thai, which translates to Mr. Taggy in English. Thus, “Kateyki” is simply his name pronounced in Thai.
Meanwhile, many speculations have arisen about the authenticity of Sangchaiphum’s lifestyle, with people wondering if she is the wealthy person social media portrays her to be.
A cursory check of Interaksyon found that Sangchaiphum is the founder of Perrine Porter, a Thailand-based luxury platform for fashion discovery.
The platform offers a personalized shopping experience with a wide variety of high-end products, ranging from bags and clothing to jewelry and even preloved items
“She is also very passionate about fashion and believes that fashion can be easily accessed by everyone,” the official website posted.
Sangchaiphum has over 10 years of experience in the fashion industry, having started her journey as a child.
“And one day, she entered the second-hand business and saw opportunities to become a center for accessing brand name products,” it added.
Currently, her TikTok platform boasts four million followers with 87.7 million likes.
