Filipino food brands are continuing to grow beyond local shores, with recent expansions into Singapore and Thailand.
Dessert chain Avocadoria has entered Thailand, opening its first store in Bangkok on March 23 at Central Rama 9 Mall. The move marked its third international market after Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, as the brand builds on its avocado-based dessert concept first introduced in 2019.
“This milestone is not just about expansion.
It’s about sharing our story, our culture, and creating moments of joy one dessert at a time,” said chef Czarina Sevilla, CEO of Avocadoria.
The Bangkok store carries the brand’s full lineup of avocado desserts, including its signature “Lovers” series and a range of avocado shakes, as it positions its offerings within Thailand’s established food culture.
Meanwhile, Mary Grace Café has also made its international debut, opening its first overseas branch in Singapore on March 13 at Tras Street in Tanjong Pagar. The café has since drawn steady crowds, particularly from Filipinos seeking familiar flavors and from locals exploring Filipino cuisine.
“I have always believed that what we serve is more than food. It is the feeling of being taken cared of, of being home,” said Mary Grace Dimacali, founder, president and CEO of Mary Grace Foods Inc.
The Singapore branch features a menu anchored on the brand’s bestsellers such as ensaymada, cheese rolls, and hot chocolate, alongside items adapted to local tastes like salted egg ensaymada and kaya pandan cheese rolls.
