
June 2026 is shaping up to be a packed month for film and streaming audiences, with major franchises returning to cinemas, award-winning directors unveiling new stories and fan-favorite series dropping new seasons across platforms.
From Eternia’s battle for the Sword of Power to supernatural folklore rooted in Filipino horror, here are the titles to watch this month.
Big-screen battles and long-awaited returns
‘Masters of the Universe’
Kicking off the month is “Masters of the Universe” (June 3), as director Travis Knight reimagines the iconic franchise for a new generation. Starring Nicholas Galitzine, Camila Mendes, Idris Elba and Jared Leto, the film follows Prince Adam’s return to a fractured Eternia, where he must embrace his destiny as He-Man and confront Skeletor’s rule.
‘Queer’
On the same day, audiences in select cinemas can catch “Queer” (June 3), Luca Guadagnino’s 1950s-set drama starring Daniel Craig as an American expatriate in Mexico City whose life shifts after meeting a young student.
‘Scary Movie’
Horror-comedy fans will see the return of a cult parody series with “Scary Movie” (June 10), reuniting familiar faces including Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris and Regina Hall in a send-up of horror franchises and Hollywood tropes.
‘Disclosure Day’
Also arriving June 10 is “Disclosure Day,” a mystery thriller from Steven Spielberg featuring Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor and Colman Domingo. The film teases a global reckoning after a revelation that humanity is not alone.
‘Supergirl’
Closing out the month on the big screen is Supergirl (June 24), starring Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, who is forced into an interstellar mission of vengeance and justice alongside unexpected allies.
Streaming highlights: Prime Video originals
Prime Video leads the streaming slate with multiple premieres across genres.
On June 3, “Clarkson’s Farm” Season 5 returns, with Jeremy Clarkson tackling new challenges as modern farming meets unexpected disruption and global travel.
Fantasy epic “The Legend of Vox Machina Season 4” also drops the same day, reuniting the fractured Vox Machina team a year after the Chroma Conclave.
Romance takes center stage in “Every Year After” (June 10), a nostalgic coming-of-age love story spanning six years in a lakeside town.
Workplace romance meets corporate chaos in “See You at Work Tomorrow!” (June 22), a Korean series about burnout, routine, and unexpected connection inside a structured office world.
For movies streaming on Prime video, Filipino horror takes the spotlight with “Gabi ng Lagim” (June 26), an anthology film inspired by folklore and real-life fears, featuring three interconnected supernatural stories rooted in local myth and lived experiences.
Meanwhile, romance continues with “Your Fault: London” (June 17), following Noah and Nick as their relationship is tested by distance, ambition and new emotional complications.
Streaming highlights: Netflix
Netflix’s June lineup includes “Avatar: The Last Airbender” Season 2, which premieres on June 25 and follows Aang as he enters the Earth Kingdom to master earthbending while navigating political intrigue, hidden alliances, and the ongoing war. The series stars Gordon Cormier, Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley, Dallas Liu, and Daniel Dae Kim.
Under the action lineup, “Maa Behen” arrives on June 4, followed by “Viral Hit” on June 11, “Oasis” on June 19, and “In the Hand of Dante” on June 24.
Other binge-worthy releases include “Night Shift for Cuties” on June 4, “Teach You a Lesson” on June 5, “The Evil Lawyer” on June 11, and “Notes from the Last Row” on June 26.
For romance fans, “Office Romance” premieres on June 5, “I Am Frankelda” on June 12, and “Voicemails for Isabelle” on June 19.
Also joining Netflix’s June lineup are “The Witness” on June 4, “Mexico 86” on June 5, “Sesame Street: Volume 3” on June 8, “The Polygamist” on June 12, “I Will Find You” on June 18, “Color Book” on June 19, “Husbands in Action” on June 19, “Little Brother” on June 26, and “Chris & Martina: The Final Set” on June 26.
Streaming highlights: Disney+
June on Disney+ spans high-stakes returns, final chapters and themed collections across fantasy, comedy and heartfelt storytelling.
Leading the lineup is “Avatar: Fire & Ash” (June 24), where Pandora faces a new threat in the Ash People as Jake and Neytiri’s family confront grief and fractured alliances. The film stars Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington.
Also closing a major chapter is “The Bear” Season 5 (June 26), with Carmy stepping back as Sydney, Richie and Natalie take control of the kitchen in a final push for a Michelin star.
New series arriving this month include “Hoppers” (June 3), an animated adventure about consciousness-swapping into animal robots; “Doctor on the Edge” (June 1), a medical rom-com about a surgeon adjusting to life on a remote island; and “Not Suitable for Work” (June 2), a workplace comedy from Mindy Kaling following five young professionals in Manhattan.
Pride Month titles highlight queer stories across film and TV, including “Pose”, “Fire Island”, “Crush”, “All of Us Strangers” and “Glee”.
For Father’s Day, Disney+ also spotlights family-centered stories such as “Finding Nemo”, “A Goofy Movie”, “Modern Family”, and “Rental Family”, focusing on different expressions of fatherhood and chosen family.
2026 NBA Finals
Basketball fans can catch the 2026 NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks starting June 4, with games available to stream on both Prime Video and Disney+.
