Journalist, host and athlete Gretchen Ho will be among the speakers at this year’s Jewels Conference.

Motivated by the mission of “women serving women,” organizers are inviting all women to the conference, which will be held Aug. 8 at Space at One Ayala in Makati City. On-site and online tickets are available, so the event is open to participants based outside the Philippines as well.

Organizers said this year’s event is meant to “remind every woman that she is being shaped by God, one moment at a time.” They said they hope to gather women “who are growing, healing, and allowing God to renew their minds and transform their hearts.”

Ho, who is open about her Catholic faith, often shares personal reflections on topics such as resilience, mental health and Scripture on her social media platforms. She will deliver a special plenary message at the conference alongside Catholic lay preacher, entrepreneur and bestselling author Bo Sanchez.

Other speakers include award-winning podcaster and women’s formation speaker Lallaine Gogna; creative leader, songwriter and worship leader Veia Lim-Viñas; Catholic influencer, strategic communicator and author Rissa Singson-Kawpeng; and psychologist and author Michele Alignay.

Fr. Dave Concepcion, well known in Catholic circles for his inspiring homilies, will serve as the main Mass presider at the conference.

Different needs, different classes

Participants will be able to attend classes on topics related to faith and the concerns of women in different stages of life, including:

  • “Boundaries with Grace: Setting Healthy Limits for a Better You”
  • “Mary’s Yes: Lessons in Surrender, Trust, and Obedience”
  • “Waiting with Hope: For Women Navigating Loss, Longing & Unanswered Prayers”
  • “Changing Seasons: Navigating Perimenopause & Caring for Your Mind, Body & Spirit”
  • “Bible Journaling & Creative Devotions: Reflecting on Scripture Through Art & Prayer”

An opportunity to be blessed and be a blessing

The Jewels Conference is built around the theme “women serving women.” Beyond being inspired by the talks and other activities, participants will also have a chance to give back through their presence and participation.

The conference supports a Feast Mercy Ministry project, Jeremiah Foundation, a shelter for teenage girls who are survivors of sexual abuse. Organizers will also launch a campaign at the conference to help fund a permanent home for the foundation.
