TERESA, Rizal — A councilor of Teresa town in Rizal and his wife were killed by motorcycle-riding killers as they drove to their daughter’s graduation Monday morning.
Inspector Renato Torres, Teresa police chief, said Councilor John Cruz San Jose and his wife Ma. Theresa were ambushed just before reaching Sitio Uno bridge in Barangay Mayiba on their way to the graduation at the Rizal Technological University in Pasig City.
Torres said the two were rushed to the St. Therese Hospital where they died while undergoing treatment.
Authorities have still to determine the motive for the killing.
