MANILA, Philippines — Authorities recovered 21 kilos of crystal meth or shabu from a car parked at a shopping mall in Bacoor, Cavite Monday night.

The vehicle, with the license plates TLS 168, had been staked out by the National Bureau of Investigation-National Capital Region after receiving information that a quantity of drugs was supposed to be delivered to Cavite through Manila.

However, when the mall closed and no one had come to claim the car, the NBI agents decided to open the vehicle.

Inside they found two bags inside which were the foil-wrapped contraband.

The agents found the keys to the car wedged under the vehicle’s left front tire.
