Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray has arrived in the United States ahead of the 71st Miss Universe coronation.

In an Instagram post, the beauty queen shared that she has landed in New Orleans, Louisiana to host the backstage of this year’s edition of the pageant.

Catriona also uploaded photos of herself at the airport.

“30 hours later….Touchdown New Orleans!” she said.

“I gotta catch up on the preliminary show! Who were your standouts?” she added in the post.

Catriona is the fourth Filipino to win the elusive Miss Universe crown in 2018.

This time, the 29-year-old Filipino-Australian celebrity will return the prestigious pageant as a backstage commentator with Emmy awardee Zuri Hall.

The hosts of the program, meanwhile, are Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo and Jeannie Mai Jenkins.

Jeannie is known for hosting the makeover show “How Do I Look?”

Olivia, meanwhile, was the previous host of Miss Universe 2020 with Mario Lopez.

She became the subject of memes and commentaries at that time because some users perceived she “lacked energy” on stage.

Others missed Steve Harvey, who has hosted the international beauty contest since 2015. Steve returned as the main presenter in the 2021 edition of the pageant.

Early this week, Olivia made a meme out of herself wherein she joked that she would drink Red Bull before going to the event.

“On my way to get Red Bull before hosting Miss Universe because user2626374782 said I need more energy this year,” she said in the meme.
