This week’s food lineup brings a fiery take on a fast food favorite, festive mooncakes, a chef-led cooking competition and limited-time deals.
Jollibee turns up the heat, offers weekend deal
For Filipinos who like their fried chicken with a kick, Jollibee is highlighting its Spicy Chickenjoy, which combines its signature crispy, juicy chicken with a blend of spices.
The brand said it wants to position the offering as more than a test of how much heat customers can handle.
“Spiciness should not simply be about tolerating the heat. It should be about enjoying what the spice brings to the overall flavor experience. With Spicy Chickenjoy, we want Filipinos to discover that spicy can be exciting, flavorful and, most importantly, delicious,” Dorothy Ching, vice president for marketing of Jollibee Philippines, said.
Actress and singer Alexa Ilacad is the face of the campaign.
Meanwhile, the fast food chain is also giving fans of its Jolly Hotdog a reason to make a weekend drive-thru stop.
The chain’s Joy-Thru Deal offers two Jolly Hotdogs for P149 at participating Jollibee Drive-Thru stores every Saturday and Sunday until September 13.
Customers can save P27 when they purchase two Jolly Hotdogs under the promotion.

The menu included kombu-cured salmon, tuna tartare, yuzu ramen, Saikyo miso-grilled tuna engawa, tempura and a final course featuring otoro and foie gras.
World Cellar also holds Wine 101 classes every Friday and monthly themed wine dinners.
