New menu additions and short-term offers take the spotlight this week, alongside a Jollibee collaboration with DreamWorks, a live OPM performance, and a Pizza Hut deal that comes with a free Stuffed Crust upgrade.

Here are some of the food and dining updates to check out this week.

New dishes for sharing, or enjoying solo

Fish & Co. is bringing diners together with its new Fisherman’s Bucket, featuring tiger prawns, mussels, clams, crab, and corn served with a choice of Singapore Chili, Lemon Butter, Chili Garlic, or Ginger sauce.

The bucket comes in two sizes: The Sailor’s Catch for two to three people and The Captain’s Bucket for four to five people. Diners can also add extra seafood and rice platters.

For those dining solo, the restaurant’s All Yours, All Day Season 3 lets customers build a meal with an appetizer, entrée and drink.

The offer is available at Fish & Co. branches in Shangri-La Plaza, Uptown Mall BGC, and Venice Grand Canal Mall in McKinley.

When you need a sweet break

Dairy Queen is leaning into the idea of taking a breather with its new Breakout Blizz collection, created in collaboration with KitKat.

The lineup features six desserts built around the chocolate wafer, including the Caramel Almond Chill Blizzard, Berry Much Done Blizzard, Tired-Me-Su Blizzard, Caramel Almond Chill Parfait, Mudpie Me-Time Tin Cake and Cherry-Out-Here Blizzard Cake.

The collection is available at DQ stores for dine-in or takeout, as well as through GrabFood, foodpanda and Pickaroo.

A friendship-themed food and film collaboration

Jollibee is teaming up with DreamWorks Animation for the worldwide theatrical release of “Forgotten Island,” which arrives in cinemas on September 23.

The animated film follows lifelong best friends Jo and Raissa, who are transported to the fantastical island of Nakali and must find a way home without losing their memories of each other.

The collaboration also has a Filipino music connection, with BINI contributing “A Parallel World” to the film’s soundtrack.

“Great stories and great food both have a way of bringing people together,” David Beal, Jollibee Group global chief marketing officer and head of digital marketing, said.

“With DreamWorks Animation’s Forgotten Island, we’re inviting friends and families to celebrate the joy of friendship—from watching the film to sharing a delicious Jollibee meal together. It is a simple expression of what Jollibee has always stood for: serving great-tasting food and bringing the joy of eating to everyone,” he added.

More elements of the collaboration, including an exclusive Jollibee offer tied to the film, are set to be announced later.

OPM over dinner

Award-winning singer Joey G is set to perform at Hard Rock Cafe Manila on September 17 at 9:30 p.m., bringing an evening of OPM favorites to the venue.

Doors open at 7 p.m. The door charge is P1,500, inclusive of P500 consumable, with limited seats available.
