A foundation from the University of the Philippines asked the alumni and fans to refrain from taking photos with its men’s basketball team, especially when they are not wearing their face masks.

“May we request our dear alumni and fans to refrain from unnecessary contact with them, such as photo ops, especially with their masks off, as well as spontaneous visits to the practice gym and dorms,” said Nowhere to Go UP Foundation Inc.

“The players get tested a day before each game and, when positive, are not allowed to play for seven days,” the foundation noted.

“In a season where every game counts, this would be a big blow to the team in case this happens,” it added.

“We all wish for the UP MBT (Men’s Basketball Team) to compete at 100% health and complete for UAAP Season 85,” the foundation also said.
