World No. 3 Jessica Pegula, reigning French Open singles champion Mirra Andreeva, World No. 10 Amanda Anisimova, and top-ranked Filipino Alex Eala are among the stars set to compete at the Singapore Tennis Open 2026.
Joining them in the main draw are 2025 Singapore Tennis Open singles champion Elise Mertens, two-time Grand Slam champion Barbora Krejcikova Indonesian ace Janice Tjen, and China’s No. 1 Wang Xinyu.
The tournament will return to The Kallang from September 21 to 27, marking its first edition as a WTA 500 event.
Pegula, who is at a career-high World No. 3 ranking, said she is excited to play in Singapore for the first time.
“I’m thrilled to be part of the Singapore Tennis Open, and I’m super excited to play in Singapore for the first time,” Pegula said. “I’ve only heard great things about the city and it’s going to be a cracker of a tournament with how the player field is looking. It’s going to be a fun week in Singapore and I hope everyone will come out and have a great time with us!” she added.
Andreeva, the current World No. 5 and 2026 French Open champion, will also make her first appearance in Singapore.
“I’ve heard many wonderful things about Singapore and I can’t wait to visit the city for the first time!” Andreeva said. “It’s going to be fun starting the Asian swing at the Singapore Tennis Open and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there very soon at The Kallang,” she added.
For Filipino fans, Eala will be among the players to watch in the main draw.
“2026 has been wonderful so far and I’m so glad to be back in Asia. I’ve had such great memories playing in Singapore, and being so close to home is always special. It’s as close to a home crowd as I’ll get so it’s going to be amazing playing in front of all the fans!” Eala said.
Krejcikova, meanwhile, is set to return to Singapore for the first time since 2018.
“I’m thrilled to be returning to Singapore for the first time since 2018! I have great memories of competing at the WTA Finals in doubles, and I’m excited to come back to the city and to see the passionate tennis fans once again at the Singapore Tennis Open!” Krejcikova added.
Wang also expressed excitement about returning to Singapore after competing there last year.
“Singapore was one of the highlights of my season last year, so I’m delighted to be coming back. The fans created an incredible atmosphere and made me feel very welcome. I’m excited for the challenge of a strong player field and the opportunity to play in front of Singapore fans once again.” Wang said.
The tournament will feature a 28-player singles field and a 16-team doubles draw.
When and where to watch
Qualifying matches will be held on September 19 and 20, with free admission for fans. Seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to venue capacity.
The main draw will run from September 21 to 27 at the OCBC Arena, with individual session tickets, single-day passes, and a seven-day pass available.
For fans attending the tournament, a Fan Zone at Arena Park will offer food and beverage options, interactive fan activities, merchandise booths, and screenings of selected tennis matches.
The Singapore Tennis Open is the only WTA 500 event in Southeast Asia and one of 18 WTA 500 events globally.
Meanwhile, the Singapore Tennis Invitational Cup 2026 will be held from September 23 to 26 at the Kallang Tennis Hub, bringing together top national players from the region. Admission is free on a first-come, first-served basis.
