A coffee shop in Antipolo City is giving free fuel to 81 motorcycle riders and tricycle drivers at a Petro Gazz station on Tuesday afternoon, April 7.

The Weekend Kofi announced it will sponsor fuel worth P300 each for lucky Lalamove and Grab riders, as well as tricycle drivers.

The giveaway will be on a first-come, first-served basis, starting at 4 p.m. today, April 7.

The participating gas station is Petro Gazz’s branch on J.P. Rizal Street, near Monte Rosas Executive Village in Antipolo.

The coffee shop initially offered aid to 58 riders and tricycle drivers, but others generously donated, bringing the total to 81.

“Medyo marami na-reach ng post natin, praying sa maayos na pila mamaya at pasensya na po sa hindi talaga aabutin,” it said in another post.

“As much as we want na mabigyan lahat, 81 lang po talaga kaya. Humihingi po kami agad ng pasensya. Maraming salamat po. God bless us all,” the coffee shop added.

Last month, Don Macchiatos Philippines and Don Lemon Philippines offered free fuel to motorcycle riders in Talisay City, Cebu.

Motorists on Tuesday faced another round of price increases in petroleum products, with diesel and kerosene rising for the 15th consecutive week, while gasoline prices climbed for the 13th week.

An oil industry source previously said diesel could cost as much as P165 per liter following the new round of increases.
