Motorists can now easily check whether they have traffic violations under the No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP) through the eGovPH app.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), in partnership with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), has made it possible for motorists to check their NCAP records and traffic violations through the mobile app.

To access the feature, motorists only need to search for the MMDA NCAP feature in the app and register using their vehicle plate number, Official Receipt/Certificate of Registration (OR/CR) details and other required information.

The app will display the vehicle’s violation history, including the date, time and location of each recorded traffic offense.

Previously, motorists had to visit the MMDA’s “MayHuliKa” website to check whether they had committed any violations under the NCAP.

The service is now integrated into the eGovPH app, allowing motorists to conveniently check their violation records on their mobile devices.

They can also settle their penalty fees in real time through cashless payments options, including bank transfers, credit and debit cards and e-wallets.

The eGovPH app is available on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and the Huawei App Gallery.

The app serves as a one-stop mobile platform that integrates local and national government services, allowing Filipinos to secure digital IDs, access public services with ease and complete transactions without having to endure physical queues.

Meanwhile, the NCAP is a traffic enforcement system enforced by the MMDA on major roads in Metro Manila. Under the policy, traffic violations are detected through CCTV cameras that capture motorists’ license plate numbers.

The policy aims to promote discipline among motorists and help eliminate incidents of bribery and extortion involving traffic enforcers and drivers.

Motorists who receive a notice of violation under the NCAP may contest it through the MMDA Traffic Adjudication Division’s online filing platform.
