Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas made quick work of the overmatched Shabab Al Ahli-Dubai, 92-57, to move on to the battle for fifth place in the FIBA Asia Champions Cup on Friday at Chenzhou Sports Center in China.

With the victory, Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas set up a rematch against Mono Vampire of Thailand on Saturday.

Kiefer Ravena scored 20 points and six rebounds to spearhead the Philippine squad which notched the huge win a day after being eliminated from title contention by hosts China Kashgar in the quarterfinals.

Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas simply stamped its class against the UAE club which only had seven players suited up. The young squad led by as many as 35 points.

Almond Vosotros added 14 points and five boards while LA Revilla contributed 12 points. Jeric Teng also scored 11 points to make up for the absence of his brother Jeron who injured his ankle early in the first quarter.

Isaiah Austin, who didn’t need to grind out in this one, finished with 10 points, eight boards and five assists in the lopsided win.

The Philippine squad will try to end the tournament on a high note against a Mono Vampire squad which it defeated during the group stages, 115-102.
