MANILA – Three motorcycle riders shot dead two women in a black sedan in Better Living Subdivision in Parañaque City just before 4 p.m. Sunday, and police are still investigating the motive.
Supt. Tomas Apolinario, Southern Police District chief, declined to name the victims at first, said radio reports, pending notification of their next of kin earlier.
Later, however, Councilor Jackie Bustamante-Mendoza gave this information in the Facebook Group of Better Living Subdivision Parañaque Inc.: “As per our chief of police, taga Pasay po & not Better Living yung 2 victims. Surnames are Garin & motive of crime is still being investigated.”
Police said the women – one estimated to be about 55 years old and the second woman, the driver, a little younger – were onboard a black Honda City along Sierra Leone Street near the corner of United Nations when approached by the suspects, who were wearing helmets, and repeatedly shot at.
A SOCO team retrieved 16 shells from the scene, Supt. Apolinario was quoted by a radio report as saying.
