MANILA, Philippines — Activists of the Bayan Muna party-list staged a lightning protest at Trump Tower demanding that U.S. President Donald Trump be banned from the country.
Trump is scheduled to visit the country for next week’s Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit. He is also expected to hold talks with President Rodrigo Duterte.
The two leaders are currently in Vietnam for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.
The protesters arrived at Trump Tower around 11:45 a.m. and protested for around 20 minutes before peacefully leaving.
