CABANATUAN CITY, Philippines — Police in Cabanatuan City killed three burglary suspects who allegedly shot it out with law enforcers during an entrapment operation early Saturday morning, January 27.
Benjie Montefalco, 18, Renjiel Galvez, 24, and Manuel Apilado, all residents of Barangay Rajal, Sta. Rosa town, had just received P15,000 in marked money they had demanded in exchange for the iPhone 7 they stole from a victim whose home they burglarized the day before when they supposedly sensed they were dealing with an undercover policeman.
The suspects drew their guns, triggering the shootout in Barangay Ibabao Bana, Cabanatuan.
Superintendent Ponciano Safra, Cabanatuan police chief, said four sachets of suspected crystal meth, or shabu, two homemade .38 caliber pistols and a caliber .22 were seized from the suspects, along with the phone they stole.
