MANILA — The Philippines’ gross foreign reserves PHFXR=ECI rose slightly to $106.9 billion at the end of August, from $106.7 billion a month earlier, the central bank said on Friday, citing preliminary data.
It said its reserves represented a more-than-adequate external liquidity buffer equivalent to 7.9 months worth of imports of goods and payments of services and primary income.
