Donnalyn Bartolome condemned the statement of Filipino social media personality Christian Albert “Xian” Gaza about girls sitting at VIP tables in expensive nightclubs.
“For every story ng mga babae sa isang VIP table sa Xylo at Cove Manila, mayroong isang Sugar Da**y na hindi kasama sa mga video,” Xian said in a Facebook post on Sunday, November 20.
Following this claim, Donnalyn shared Xian’s post and asked him, “*Every story* sure ka?”
Anyway, just an advice, imbes na i-down natin yung mga babaeng may sugar daddy, pwede natin sila i-encourage maging good money earners din like what I’m doing sa Sugar Baddie,” Donnalyn continued.
Sugar Baddie is Donnalyn’s make-up line. She also said that it had been her advocacy to empower women.
“I will never see myself superior to women who have sugar daddie’s just cause I’ve never done it, malawak isip ko lalo sa fact na other women weren’t given the same opportunity as me—what I’m saying is, the issue here is kaya madaming nag-su-sugar daddy ay dahil sa poverty, lahat naman naghahangad ng maginhawang life and wants to experience that lavish life,” the YouTuber with 9.55 million followers said.
“Kung naghahanap ka ng ways to contribute to reduce poverty, edi sana hindi nakakababa ng morale ng mga babae ang pinopost mo. Talk to me and I’ll tell you what I’m doing to contribute na hindi ko pinopost, kasi baka questionin mo kung ako ba may ginagawa eh,” she added.
Xian responded to Donnalyn and clarified that his post was directed to his sugar baby, who brought her boyfriend to a nightclub using the money he sent.
Salamat. Don’t forget to like Sugar Baddie guys,” he jokingly said.
About two hours after Donnalyn called out Xian, the latter posted a photo of his bill from a bar in Singapore. His bill amounts to Singapore $4,708 or ₱195,827.60. (Singapore $1= P41.59 Figures from Google exchange rate)
“Donna, nasa Marquee Singapore po ako. Paki-reimburse. 195K in Philippine peso,” Xian said.
“Chat mo sakin bank account mo friend,” Donnalyn responded with a white heart emoji.
As of writing, Donnaly’s post gained more than 93,000 reactions, 14,000 comments, and nearly 3,000 shares.
In June last year, the Securities and Exchange Commission warned the public about engaging with digital currency Xian Coin or XNC, which he operated.
The regulatory agency said that it is “unregistered” and that it is not authorized to solicit investments from the public.
