Folk-pop band Ben&Ben amused Filipinos after sharing photos and a video of themselves watching “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” while wearing matching Spider-Man masks.
The nine-piece band said on Wednesday, August 5, that its members went to the cinema to watch the Marvel film while wearing the hero’s iconic red-and-white mask.
“Nanood ng Spider-Man kahapon haha,” the band captioned its Facebook post.

The band’s stunt drew laughter from Filipinos, who expressed their amusement in the comments section.
“Hirap na nga ako ma-identify sino si Ben at sino si Ben, nagmaskara pa talaga,” a Facebook user quipped.
“Uncle Ben? [and] Ben?” another user quipped, referring to Uncle Ben, the uncle and father figure of Peter Parker, the alter ego of Spider-Man.
“Bakit kilala ko pa rin kahit naka-masks,” a different Pinoy commented with a crying emoji.
“Ang kuleet,” another wrote.
“Ben&Ben the Multiverse,” a different Pinoy commented.
“Nice strategy para hindi malaman ng public,” another wrote, accompanied by a laughing emoji.
Ben&Ben consists of twin brothers Paolo Benjamin and Miguel Benjamin Guico, Poch Barretto, Jam Villanueva, Agnes Reoma, Pat Lasaten, Toni Muñoz, Andrew De Pano and Keifer Cabugao.
Meanwhile, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is the latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe set four years after “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
It follows Peter Parker as he deals with the aftermath of Doctor Strange’s spell, which erased the world’s memory of his identity.
The superhero film also broke Philippine box office records in the first five days of its release in cinemas.
