It’s official. Nadine Lustre is the country’s sexiest woman according to an annual poll by men’s magazine FHM Philippines.

The 23-year-old actress dubbed as the Multimedia Princess was able to sustain her frontrunner status early this month to clinch the top spot of FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women list.

Known for being one half of “Jadine,” her hugely popular love team with real-life boyfriend James Reid, Nadine first figured in the annual poll in 2015 when she was ranked number 49.

Last year, she emerged as an early frontrunner before she eventually ended up at the No. 3 spot. James famously admonished Jadine fans for supporting her in the poll which seemed to undermine her wholesome image.

A big reason for Nadine’s popularity among FHM readers is the series of provocative photos of her wearing very revealing swimwear that she posted on her Instagram page.

The said photos were taken during beach holidays with James and her friends including a recent rendezvous with James in Caramoan, Camarines Sur.

Early this year, Nadine also appeared in a photo shoot clad only in black, lacy lingerie for her own signature perfume called Luster.

In winning the title of Sexiest Woman, Nadine had to top a field of equally formidable contenders led by Kim Domingo, Rhian Ramos, Jessy Mendiola, Ellen Adarna, Jennylyn Mercado, Angel Locsin, Liza Soberano, Maine Mendoza, Solenn Heussaff who all rounded up this year’s Top 10 in that order.

Like Nadine, the emergence of Liza Soberano and Maine Mendoza were also considered as big surprises. The late push of votes to cement Liza’s entry into the Top 10 was propelled by the announcement of her recent casting in the title role of “Darna,” Erik Matti’s big screen reboot of the Mars Ravelo komiks classic.

Maine, on the other hand, enjoyed an avalanche of votes following the posting of her own bikini photos during her recent vacation at the Maldives.

Even with her selection, it remains to be seen whether or not Nadine would grace the traditional victory party that annually celebrates the coveted list. But given how last year’s event went down, there is a good chance that she will be around to acknowledge the honor.

As FHM Philippines had adopted a less provocative image and more lifestyle branding in compliance with the global standards set by the FHM principal based in the UK, last year’s party held at the Valkyrie Club was a tad tamer compared to previous years.

Led by last year’s winner, Jessy Mendiola, the female celebrities who participated in the event did not parade in revealing swimsuits. Instead, they wore elegant cocktail dresses to regale the predominantly male crowd.
