Here are some of the food items diners can eat from the upcoming buffet package:

Mark Pineda, Teppanya’s chief executive officer, said that he managed to create these pricing plans for the restaurant’s menu because he sources the ingredients directly from the fishermen.

Pineda cited the buffet deluxe worth P2,188 as an example. This package has lobsters, sushi varieties and other food offerings that are normally priced higher in other establishments.

“I’m serving five-star hotel quality with a four-star price,” Pineda said.

The restaurant’s exec further described his method as “grassroots-level sourcing.”

“The reason why I can do it is because I’m already talking to the fishermen. Grassroots level sourcing. So for me to do that, for me to be very competitive, I have to go down to that level,” Pineda said.

Yñigo Rivera, Teppanya’s Marketing Manager, said that they are hopeful to bring Japanese flavors to Filipino diners by integrating these premium Japanese meals into their menu.

“Integrating these premium dishes into our Unlimited Madness is our way of extending Japan’s best flavors and more, which we hope our patrons will enjoy even more,” Rivera said.

“We look forward to having our patrons try the all-new Unlimited Madness so they, too, can be closer to Japan through the Japanese dining experience that we offer. As we always say, at Teppanya, it’s not just food, it’s entertainment,” he added.

Teppanya is a Filipino-owned Japanese teppanyaki chain with branches at the SM Mall of Asia and at the Evia Lifestyle Mall.

The buffet package will also be available at the SM North Towers and Shangri-La Plaza mall branches soon.
