Spectators of a Magic on Ice show who were captured on video throwing expletives at a crew member of a popular pizza parlor, got heavily criticized on social media.
The video posted on December 26 showed an elderly couple cussing at a female staff of the Pizza Hut stall at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Facebook user Olin Ovlac captured it and posted it online. Ovlac said in the caption that another woman was also seen lashing out and throwing food at the staff.

The three people, whom he introduced as a family, were angry at the Pizza Hut representative because she removed the bottle cap of the mineral water they bought.
“Sobrang naawa ako sa service crew dahil pinaliwanag nya naman sa customer na policy talaga for safety purpose yung pagtanggal ng takip sa mineral water. Aba nagwawala ang mag-asawa at binalikan pa ng anak at pinagbabato ang team member ng pagkain,” he explained.
While not captured in the photos, Ovlac said that the female employee was sniffling but continued to serve other customers at that time.
“Sobrang nahahabag talaga ako parang gusto ko siya i-hug. Feeling ko nabully siya ng walang kalaban-laban,” he said.
This post earned the ire of people online.
The incident started as a small misunderstanding that got out of hand.
Another Facebook user, who appeared to be present during the commotion, explained in the comments section that the old woman initially thought that the pizza place was also selling popcorn. The stall that offers it and other snacks is right beside the fast-food chain’s stall.
When the old man ordered a bottled water at the pizza store, he was informed that the bottle cap will be removed for safety reasons. This got him angry and he attempted to take the bottle back. Later, the second woman threw food at the female employee.
Removing the caps of bottled drinks is a common policy among many event venues here and abroad. This is to prevent people from using caps to hurt each other during shows, competitions and concerts.
