Oil firms cut pump prices of petroleum products effective June 13

MANILA – The Department of Energy (DOE) sees a reduction in the pump prices of petroleum products this week.
The Energy Department expects a per-liter cut of P0.80 in gasoline prices; P0.90 in diesel, and P1.10 in kerosene, following the movements of prices of crude oil in the international market last week.

But Sea Oil and Flying V announced Monday that their pump prices for gasoline would be reduced by P0.80 per liter, diesel by P 0.95 per liter and kerosene by P1.20 per liter, effective 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, June 13.

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., Petron Corp., Phoenix Petroleum, Eastern Petroleum,and PTT also announced the same amount of price rollbacks.
Meanwhile, the DOE encouraged the public to be vigilant in their rights as consumers and immediately report to the DOE Consumer Welfare Office (Landline – 429 2900 look for Ms Helen Arias) any violation of the law, rules and regulations by petroleum products suppliers (i.e., quality and/or safety issues).
