Senator Gregorio Honasan on Friday posted bail in connection with the graft charges filed before the Sandiganbayan over alleged misuse of his pork barrel funds in the wake of the PDAF, or Priority Development Assistance Fund, scam.
Senator Honasan yield to police officers from the PNP Calabarzon Office and other officials.
He has accompanied by a lawyer in posting the PhP60,000 bail bond at the Biñan Regional Trial Court Branch 26 for two counts of graft.
The arrest was ordered by the Sandiganbayan anti-graft special court Thursday over findings that he misused some P30 million by allocating the funds to spurious non-governmental organizations set up by businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles.
He was processed, booked and had his mug shots taken by the Philippine National Police (PNP).
