MANILA – The community of Robinsons Town Mall Malabon recently donated over 100 compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) and fluorescent lamps (FLs) to Barangay Tinajeros in Malabon City.

Dubbed “Pailaw sa Barangay”, the project is part of Robinsons Malls’ The Gift of Change, a coin bank collection campaign which aims to support different communities all over the Philippines.

Barangay Tinajeros is the second beneficiary of TGOC’s “Pailaw sa Barangay”.

The light bulbs from Robinsons will be installed in the major offices of the barangay. The gift of the light bulbs not only provides the barangay with much-needed resources, but it also provides an energy-efficient lighting option, said Robinsons. The CFLs use one-fifth to one-third the electric power of incandescent bulbs, and last eight to 15 times longer, giving the barangay a long-term, cost-saving benefit for lighting their spaces.

Present at the turnover were Barangay Tinajeros Chairman Alvin Manalac and Mark Louie Sta. Ana, Regional Operations Manager of Robinsons Town Mall Malabon, together with the team of Robinsons Town Mall Malabon.
