Kris Aquino finally confirmed that she has sealed the deal on her involvement in a major Hollywood movie project.

In a post on her Instagram page Tuesday, the actress and former presidential sister/daughter said that she has signed the contract that would make her realize her Hollywood dream on Monday, June 12, Philippine Independence Day.

Later that same day, Kris issued another post that accompanied a photo of her in an airport at the Business Class counter of Singapore Airlines, checking in several pieces of luggage that carried her costumes for the film, including gowns made by Michael Cinco.

Although Kris would not specify her Hollywood project, it is widely believed to be Warner Bros.’ film adaptation of Kevin Kwan’s bestselling novel “Crazy Rich Asians.” The Philippine Daily Inquirer earlier reported that she was up for the role of “an Asian princess, either of Bruneian or Malaysian descent.”

When Warner Bros. announced last April that the film directed by Jon M. Chu would be “shot entirely in Singapore in Malaysia,” Kris’s name was not among the cast members mentioned. Neither was she included in the cast of the film in its entry in the Internet Movie Database or IMDB.

The Hollywood movie she is doing was not the only announcement made by the self-styled Queen of All Media on Instagram these past few days. Kris, who is currently not under contract with any major network or film studio in the country, will also be doing a project with streaming video service iFlix.
