With the “old world tavern” vibe serving classic American cuisine, Village Tavern in Bonifacio High Street serves stellar drinks and exceptional dishes that cater to almost every taste for five years.

Opened in 2012 as part of The Bistro Group, the Village Tavern in BGC was patterned after its original restaurant in North Carolina with a history that dates back in 1984.

As it celebrates its fifth year in the country, Village Tavern’s USA-based executive corporate chef, Grace Viado came home and collaborated with Chef Josh Boutwood, Bistro Group’s head corporate chef, to introduce new offerings in their menu.

In a chat with some members of the press, Viado shared how they came up with the new dishes. “It’s both nostalgia and bringing the southern roots of the brand to the Philippines–staying true to the brand, which is American pub fare food.”

Here are some of the dishes to try at Village Tavern in BGC this May:

1. Shrimp and Grits
