 U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Monday emphasized the United States’ unwavering commitment to its defense treaty ally the Philippines, after the two countries signed an intelligence-sharing agreement in Manila.

The Philippines has expressed confidence the alliance will remain strong under incoming U.S. president Donald Trump.
