PBA legend Eric Menk is finally hanging up his sneakers after 16 seasons in the league.
The 42-year-old Menk officially announced his retirement on his blog where he thanked people who made his illustrious career possible.
“Being a professional basketball player is all I ever wanted to be for as long as I can remember,” wrote Menk who last played in the PBA in 2016.
“The Major Pain”, known for his monster game underneath, is retiring with four PBA titles and one MVP award under his belt, all of which he won during his 12-year stint with Ginebra.
He also had stints in the ASEAN Basketball League, GlobalPort Batang Pier and, lastly, the Alaska Aces who will honor his career in a special ceremony on Sunday during their game versus the Gin Kings.
