As rains continued to pour in some areas of Luzon due to southwest monsoon, the Facebook post of Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna was bombarded with hilarious comments and appeals from students requesting a class suspension.

While many local government units in Metro Manila announced the suspension of classes, Lacuna shared a prayer on Facebook asking God for her safety and guidance.

Lacuna’s post became an instant platform for students to air their appeal.

“Mayor ang order ko suspension bakit mo ako bibigyan ng prayer,” a Facebook user said

“Lord ikaw na po siguro mag suspend ng classes,” an online user said in jest.
