This was not the first time Rachel earned buzz for her perceived resemblance to the former government official.
In 2021, a selfie of Rachel in Palawan went viral when some people thought Leni was vacationing and not working.
Leni quashed the false speculations and assured the public that she was in her office in Quezon City. She also apologized to Rachel for being tagged in the false claims.

The theater performer responded by saying that some people have been commenting she looks like Leni.
“Basta ‘pag may movie tungkol sa buhay niyo, may idea na kayo sino ang puwedeng mag-portray,” Rachel commented before with a tongue-out emoji.
“I don’t believe we’ve properly met but let me use this opportunity to thank you for all that you do,” she added.
Leni once again apologized and said she was “flattered” that she was being likened to Rachel.
