An earthquake of magnitude 7 struck Sarangani, Davao Occidental, recorded at 12:13 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5.
German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) earlier reported a magnitude 6.3 quake, hitting at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles).
Phivolcs, however, said the epicenter of the quake was traced 03.10°North, 125.65°East – 258 km S 5° East of Sarangani, Davao Occidental.
It was felt at the following intensity V in Sarangani.
