Last week, “Young Sheldon,” the much-anticipated spin-off of the long-running hit sitcom, “The Big Bang Theory” premiered in the Philippines on WarnerTV.

The series takes us back to when “Big Bang Theory” character Sheldon Cooper is only 9 and living with his family in East Texas. At that early age, the intellectually gifted Sheldon is already a high school freshman.

The appeal of the series lies in either how the socially inept Sheldon will adjust to high school life or how the rest of the community will adjust to his gifts.

Also starring Zoe Perry and Lance Barber as his parents and Montana Jordan and Raegan Revord as his siblings, the show also features the voice four-time Emmy winner Jim Parsons narrating every episode in character as the adult Sheldon Cooper.

“Young Sheldon” airs every Tuesday at 8:35PM only on WarnerTV at Channel 235 on Cignal and Channel 34 on Sky Cable.

After watching the first episode, here’s why we think “Young Sheldon” will be a big hit not just for fans of “Big Bang Theory” but also for general audiences as well.
