Mariah Carey, one of the world’s most celebrated singing sensations, touched down at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City early Thursday morning.
“I can’t wait to see the fans, the Filipino fans. I’m so excited,” Carey told a reporter at the airport.

The Manila concert is set on Friday, October 26, at the Araneta Coliseum. At the concert, she is expected to perform her number one hits, of which she has 18.
Tickets to her show commanded prices of at least a reasonable P1,945 to a whopping P25,200. The better seats would cost fans at least P10,500 each.
Her last concert in the Philippines was in 2014 for her Elusive Chanteuse Tour.
Carey flew to Manila from China, where she performed at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai.

Earlier this week, Sony Music Asia Pacific recognized Carey for having sold 1.6 billion units in the region, including in the Philippines.
Around the world, she has sold more than 200 million records. She wrote 17 of her 18 Billboard #1 hits.
