For every group trip, there is often one person who takes charge of the itinerary, coordinates everyone’s schedules and makes sure the vacation stays on track.
Now, travel experience platform Klook is giving these behind-the-scenes trip organizers a chance to step away from the spreadsheets and group chats and enjoy a vacation without having to plan it themselves.
The travel platform has launched a global search for five travel planners who will each receive a seven-day hosted trip to Switzerland in December 2026.
The initiative follows Klook’s survey of 2,725 travelers across 10 markets, which found that travel planning is among the least-thanked tasks people take on for others. More than eight in 10 travel planners surveyed said they spend more than 10 hours organizing a single group trip.
The survey also found that the planning does not necessarily stop when someone else takes over. Some 42.4% of travel planners said they still check and second-guess arrangements even after handing the task to another person, remaining ready to step in if something goes wrong.
“Klook was created to simplify the task of travel planning so travelers can focus on the experiences their destinations have to offer,” Michelle Ho, General Manager of Klook Philippines, said.
“We are excited to exemplify that promise through a fully-planned vacation awarded to five travel planners who always arrange perfect itineraries for their friends and family.”
“Group planners carry the weight of every trip on their shoulders. It’s finally their turn to take a vacation from planning,” she added.
Those interested can nominate a travel planner, or nominate themselves, until Aug. 31, 2026.
Applicants must share a story about how the person helped organize a trip, including the itinerary they put together and any mishaps they managed along the way.
They can also submit a 60-second video or a link to content on TikTok, YouTube, or Google Drive showing the planner in action, such as their spreadsheets, group chats, or moments when they stepped in to save a trip.
The five selected travel planners will be hosted on the Switzerland trip in December, giving them a chance to travel without having to worry about organizing the next stop, booking the next activity, or keeping everyone on schedule.
