Filipinos looking to furnish, refresh, or rethink their living spaces now have more retail options, with new stores in Metro Manila offering curated home products and more hands-on ways to shop.
Two new retail concepts have recently expanded their presence in the South, with one focusing on accessible home essentials and décor, and the other bringing together products for cooking, self-care, everyday living and outdoor activities.
Metro Retail Stores Group launched Metro Living on September 18 at the Home Section of its Market! Market! branch. The new store format brings together linens and fabrics, décor, furniture, dining and kitchen items, and storage solutions under one shopping experience.
“It’s a one-stop shop for your home, where you don’t need to worry too much about the design because everything coordinates seamlessly,” Joel Orense, president of Metro Retail Stores Group Inc., said.
“We offer contemporary pieces that are easy to mix and match, with patterns and colors that blend effortlessly with items you already own. And most importantly, you don’t have to break the bank to create a beautiful home. Our collections are thoughtfully designed to be stylish, practical, and affordable—so you can refresh your space without stretching your budget,” he added.
The store is designed around different home setups, including living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas. Its displays show how furniture, linens, décor, and houseware can be combined, while its Metro Ware line offers items for dining, cooking and storage.
The shop-and-stop concept stores are currently open at The Metro Department Stores in Alabang, Market! Market!, Ayala Center Cebu, and Super Metro Colon. The company said more concept stores are planned, while Metro Living and Metro Ware products are available across all The Metro Department Stores branches.
Meanwhile, Focus Global Inc. has opened its second focus_ store at Festival Mall in Alabang, Muntinlupa cITY expanding the lifestyle retail concept beyond its existing location at Power Plant Mall in Rockwell, Makati City.
Instead of arranging products solely by category, focus_ Festival Mall organizes its offerings around four areas: explore, elevate, live and create.
The “explore” section features products for outdoor activities and hobbies, while “elevate” focuses on personal care and wellness. “Live” centers on everyday home life, while “create” brings together kitchen products and appliances.
“Intentional living begins with knowing what matters to you and choosing the things that support it,” Stephen Sy, Focus Global president, said.
“We created focus_ as a space where people can discover products that help them create with more joy, elevate everyday routines, live well at home, and explore with confidence,” he added.
The new store encourages customers to interact with products through hands-on displays and see how different items could fit into everyday routines, from preparing meals and caring for oneself to refreshing a room or planning outdoor activities.
The Festival Mall location also serves as the flagship store for Coleman, which the lifestyle & retail company first brought to the Philippines more than 30 years ago.
“Coleman has been part of Focus Global’s story for more than thirty years,” Andrea Sy, chief operating officer of Focus Global Inc., said.
“Making it the flagship experience at focus_ Festival Mall honors that history while giving customers a fuller, more engaging way to discover gear that is thoughtfully designed and built to last,” she concluded.
