Koreandrug pusher Jun No slips away from hospital

Closed Circuit Television surveillance footage showed the arrested South Korean national, Jun No, being conveyed to Ward 1 of East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City after undergoing an appendectomy on April 11.

The video clearly shows his wrist handcuffed to the hospital bed.

He had been arrested on April 5 in possession of some 140 tablets of the party drug Ecstasy.

But by Saturday, April 15, at past 6 o’clock in the morning, while the guard Armin Ricamata was going on his rounds at Ward 1, the subject, Jun No, casually walked away and, upon reaching the hospital lobby, he stepped up his pace to get past the lobby and just went out of the premises.

This time, his right wrist was wrapped with clothes apparently to conceal his handcuffs.

Back at Ward 1, by the Korean’s bed was Police Intelligence Officer 1 Ernie Eugenio of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, fast asleep.

Obviously, the Korean managed to give the law enforcer the slip.

Another guard, Senior Police Officer 2 Michael Macarubbo, was taking his breakfast at the time.

The guards are facing administrative and criminal sanctions, even as Jun No, according to the medical staff, is vulnerable to acquiring infection because the surgery wounds still have to heal completely.
