Back when she was only 12, Filipina singing sensation Elha Nympha blew away American audiences and television viewers with her soaring rendition of Sia’s “Chandelier” on the kiddie talent show “Little Big Shots.”
No less than the show’s master of ceremonies, Steve Harvey, was impressed with Elha’s performance.
“This little girl can sing!,” exclaimed Harvey, who is also known for hosting Miss Universe.
It took her awhile but Elha’s long awaited encore on “Little Big Shots” finally took place recently. Elha once again performed a lounge-style version of “Chandelier” but this time, she did it for the French edition of “Little Big Shots.”
Now 13, Elha’s voice continues to develop and age gracefully. Comparing her 2017 performance of “Chandelier,” Elha now sings with more finesse particularly in her lower register even as she has noticeably added more power in her higher range.
Elha’s stage presence has also vastly improved and she now looks more luminous and performs with a lot of confidence, taking command of her mostly French audience with a performance that drew a standing ovation.
“Little Big Shots” was launched in 2016 by Ellen DeGeneres and Steve Harvey. The French edition of the show follows similar adaptations of “Little Big Shots” in Australia, Brazil, Italy and in the Philippines where the show was presented by Billy Crawford.
“Little Big Shots France” airs on French TV C8 and is hosted by comedian Cyril Hanouna.
Elha Nympha’s self-titled solo album contains her studio version of “Chandelier” as well as her take on Mariah Carey’s “Emotions” and Beyonce’s “Love on Top” and the OPM carrier single, “Susunduin.” It is released by MCA Music and is available through Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, iTunes and Spinnr.
