An old scene from Marvel’s Avengers franchise was edited by some Filipino fans to make them appear as if they were in it.

The scene came from “The Avengers,” the first of the four-part series, wherein superheroes Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, The Hulk and Iron Man gathered to eat in a shawarma place after a day’s long battle in New York City.

The posts soon made rounds online amid the ongoing screening of the “Endgame” installment.

Freelance graphic artist Jonathan Araojo captioned the video with: “Lakas kumain ng bisita nung fiesta.”

He shared this on May 5 and it soon reached more than a million views after several days.

Araojo said that he took this video in his house in Virac, Catanduanes during a fiesta gathering.

“I invited friends to our home during the fiesta, but no one went. The celebration is two days but no one came… So what I did was make them (the Avengers) my guests,” he said in Filipino in an interview with Coconuts Manila.

Another Facebook user Louien Franco also shared an edited photo of him with the Avengers members inside his house.

Franco similarly captioned it with: “Shout out sa mga bisita ko kagabi.”

Fans saw the conclusion of the 11-year Marvel Cinematic Universe as their favorite Marvel superheroes fought against supervillain Thanos and his allies.

The last sequel “Avengers: Endgame” broke local box office records with a total of P1,302,454,613 in just nine days from its premiere on April 24.

Overall, it also made a historic feat of beating the acclaimed 1997 drama “Titanic” as the second-highest earning movie of all time with $2.189 billion in total box office sales.

So far, sitting at the top spot for several years is “Avatar” at $2.79 billion.
