Kdrama fans, you no longer have to fly to South Korea to try out the famous chicken restaurant featured in “Crash Landing on You,” “King Eternal Monarch,” and “Goblin.”

Bb.q Chicken recently opened its first branch in the country on the second level of Bonifacio High Street Central Mall, Taguig City.

The restaurant was brought by LCS Group Korea, the official partner of Genesis BB.Q Global.

Aside from the food, the restaurant’s interior gives off Kdrama vibes. It is almost no different from a bb.q restaurant in South Korea with its walls embellished with white ceramic tiles and bricks, and a turquoise door.

Eating at the restaurant also feels like you are the main character in a drama as you enjoy the food while listening to Kpop music and soundtracks of popular Kdrama.

There are also three TV screens showing iconic Kdrama scenes and commercials.

What’s on the menu?

Bb.q chicken boasts its Golden Fried Chicken which goes through three stages of delicate cooking. This is available in mild and original which has a little hint of spiciness.

Half order (4 pieces) of this costs P459, while the whole (8 pieces) order is P899.

Spicy lovers may enjoy the Hot Crispy Chicken. This also has a similar price as the Golden Fried Chicken.

There is also the Golden Fried Chicken Strip which is described as a “protein bomb.” This sells at P439 for half (10 pieces) or P849 for a whole (20 pieces).

For the sauced chicken, you can order Secret Chicken and Hot Spicy Chicken. These cost P509 and P949 for half (8 pieces) and whole (16 pieces), respectively.

Another option for sauced chicken is the Gangnam-style and Cheesling Chicken which costs P529 and P969, for half (8 pieces) and whole (16 pieces), respectively.

For the “specials” which are good for sharing, the restaurant offers the Chicken Platter (P769 to P839 depending on the flavor), Pane Spicy Fondue Chicken (P749), Volcano Chicken (P1,299), and UFO Chicken (P1,299).

Patrons may also enjoy Stone-pot Bulgogi Bibimbap (P319), Stone-pot Bibimbap (P289), and Kimchi fried rice with egg (P269).

If you like to enjoy your chicken with rice, there are the golden fried chicken meal, secret chicken meal, and hot spicy chicken meal. These are priced at P359.

On the other hand, for pasta and noodles, the restaurant offers Bulgogi Pasta (P389), Myungran Cream Pasta (P419), Rose Seafood Pasta (P419), and Stir-fried Spicy Carbonara Chicken noodle (P299).

Customers can also try the restaurant’s salads such as Cobb Salad (P299), Chicken Caesar Salad (P289), and Mascarpone Salad (P349).

The restaurant also offers Stir Fried Spicy Chicken (P699), Stir Fried Soy Sauce Chicken (P699), Rose Seafood Tteokbokki (P359), and Soy Sauce Tteokbokki (P299).

The restaurant also has Sundubu Jjigae which is available in Kimchi (P329), Seafood (P339), and Beef (P349).

Meanwhile, here are the other drinks and desserts you can enjoy at the restaurant.

Some Filipino Kdrama fans expressed their excitement over the opening of bb.q chicken.

“Wow, ‘Crash Landing on You,'” a social media user said.

“OMG meron na din sa Pinas! You gotta try this ito yung chicken sa crash landing on you and other koreanovelas. It’s my favorite Korean fried chicken in NYC!” a Facebook user said.

“Mga friends…Di tayo makapag-Korea…Lumalapit na ang Korea at Koreano sa atin ahahahah tara na,” an online user said.

“Next time, here naman ~ let’s do a BGC bonding. HAHAHAHA,” a Facebook user said while asking her friends to eat out.

The restaurant does not have definite store hours yet because of the high volume of customers. It would be better to check the chain’s Instagram for updates.

Currently, bb.q chicken has over 3,500 branches in 57 countries.
