Filipino fashion designers set the stage for world domination—or the universe, rather—at Monday night’s Miss Universe pageant held in Las Vegas.
Philippine bet Rachel Peters may have not won the coveted crown but she has been receiving overwhelming praises on social media for putting up a good performance during finals night. The regale way she carried her curvaceous body in a silver Val Taguba gown also prompted netizens to describe the 26-year-old from Camarines Sur as stunning.

Peters’ fellow candidates—Miss Great Britain Anna Burdzy, Miss Japan Momoko Abe, and Miss Guam Myana Welch—were in their best form in Leo Almodal evening gowns. Here’s an Instagram post by @tgpc-official showing Miss Great Britain’s glam look during the preliminary evening gown round.

Meanwhile, Queen P or Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, who was a judge that evening, went for young designer Michael Leyva who created her sexy red gown.
Michael Cinco’s scarlet red ombré couture gown with full Swarovski crystals added to the dramatic final walk of Miss Universe Iris Mittenaere.
Hopefully, the exquisite works of Filipino fashion designers will continue to shine in more international beauty pageants.
