The Alaska Aces hinted at holding a retirement ceremony for PBA legend “Major Pain” Eric Menk with a cryptic post on its official Facebook page.
The image in the post bore Menk’s jersey number 30, with his accomplishments during his 16-year PBA career written on the background.
The caption read: “5.7.17 #majortribute.”
Alaska will take on Barangay Ginebra on Sunday, May 7, in a clash of Menk’s two former teams.
Menk, 42, last saw action in 2016 for Alaska where he played for two years.
But it was in his 12-year stint with Ginebra where he truly made his mark, winning four championships and one MVP award.
Menk hasn’t officially announced his retirement despite being left unsigned since last year. He is currently hosting his own podcast show, Staying Major.
