Several users around the globe are reporting that TweetDeck, a social management tool dedicated to Twitter, is mysteriously redirecting them to the mobile site of the microblogging platform instead of the homepage.
Outage Report noted that it has received over 2,000 incident reports from users in around 57 countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and the Philippines.
It also mentioned that the performance-related issue seemed to begin around 6 p.m. Pacific Time or on the morning of October 2 in the Philippines.
TweetDeck is supposed to direct users to a dashboard where they can easily monitor different accounts, lists, searches and hashtags, among others.
It also lets users view multiple timelines in one interface, manage multiple Twitter accounts, schedule tweets for posting and build collections.
The management tool is used by businesses and journalists for real-time tracking of events and news from different sources, including public officials.
The performance-related issue is the latest of its kind.
Last July, the social management tool briefly had a downtime when users experienced being redirected to the regular Twitter webpage instead.
There were also reports of users receiving internal server error messages, according to CNET.
A week after it happened, Digital Trends reported that TweetDeck once again encountered performance-related issues along with Twitter itself.
