“Let’s grill this love”?
A Google Maps pin in Cebu caught the attention of Filipinos for referencing a BLACKPINK member in its name.
Dana, a Twitter user with the name “Subsonic Inday,” uploaded on Monday a screengrab of a location pin labeled as “LALISA MANOKAN.”
“Manokan” or “manukan” is literally translated to a chicken place. It could also refer to places selling live chickens or chicken meals.
“See you soon, BLACKPINK,” she joked with emojis of a loudly crying face, a beating heart and a black heart.
Her post has earned a whopping number of 29,800 likes, over 4,100 retweets and more than 1,400 quote tweets so far.

The pin was identified as a “bar and grill” place in the municipality of Santa Fe in Cebu province.
The picture accompanying the pin featured what appeared to be a closed place with the sign “FERNAN MARKETING.”
Another picture showed pink and violet-colored items on a table.
A look at social media reveals that there is a Facebook page with the same name.
It identifies itself as a restaurant and has a profile picture and cover photo similar to the signature typeface and colors of BLACKPINK.
The Facebook page was created in July 2021.
It posted the following on July 21 of that year: “Let’s grill this love… soon.”
The account also has an Instagram page with the same description: “Let’s grill this love!”
The phrase is a reference to the lyrics of one of the girl group’s hits, “Kill This Love.”
The original words are, “Let’s kill this love!”
Meanwhile, no other posts are uploaded to the “Lalisa Manokan” accounts. No other information about the so-called place can also be found on the internet.
According to Dana, her friends were just looking for names of K-pop stars in Google Maps when they saw the particular location pin.
“As in tina-type lang namin sa search bar. One time, naisip namin, ‘What if may mga establishments nang named after K-pop stars?’ So we tried to look tapos ayun, we found Lalisa Manokan!” she was quoted as saying in an interview.
“Tawa lang kami [nang] tawa, as in ‘di na maalis sa isip namin ‘yung Lalisa Manokan ever since we found it. I’m not a huge fan of BLACKPINK, but I like some of their songs,” Dana added.
BLACKPINK member Lisa’s real name is Lalisa Manoban.
She is part of the K-pop supergroup along with Jisoo, Jennie and Rosé.
The girl group sensation is currently on their first tour in two years, a followup to their “In Your Area” World Tour, which ran from 2018 to early 2020.
They will hold their “Born Pink” concert in the Philippines on March 2023.
