Whether they are performed by the original artists who recorded them or by tribute acts recreating a similar look and feel to how they are best remembered, hearing their favorite songs from the past brings back a lot of fond memories for Filipino audiences.

But what if a music festival brings back not just the music but also offers screenings of favorite films and TV series, recreation of familiar fashion trends and even favorite videogames and more in a single day?

That’s exactly what the coming “Playback Music Festival” promises this February 10 at Circuit Makati.

Dubbed as “the first ever throwback music festival in the country [that’s] set to give you a nostalgic journey down memory lane,” it will be headlined by the boy band Blue, alternative rock group Vertical Horizon, acoustic pop act Stephen Speaks and Leigh Nash of alternative Christian outfit Sixpence None The Richer.

All hitmakers from the late 1990s to early 2000s will be joined by homegrown artists Rivermaya, Moonstar88 and MYMP which also scored some of their big hits right around the same period.

Tickets available at www.smtickets or in all SM Ticket cinema outlets nationwide. There are also limited seats and chances for meet and greet passes for Platinum A and Platinum B buyers, and unlimited beer for all Gold and Platinum buyers. Access to festival activities for all ticket types.
