MANILA, Philippines — The government’s Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs launched on Wednesday “Rehabinasyon (embrace and rehabilitate the nation),” the unified campaign against illegal drugs.

Rehabinasyon aims to take a holistic approach in making sure that the country’s drug problem will be eliminated using the full extent of the law, and at the same time, putting a premium on the rehabilitation of drug surrenderees,” Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency director general and ICAD chair Isidro Lapena said at the affair.

The campaign features three components — “#RealNumbers, #RealSolutions and #RealStories” — and will tackle drug demand and supply reduction, civic awareness, treatment and rehabilitation, and alternative development.

Rehabinasyon aims to realize the vision of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte that the elimination of illegal drugs will protect and ensure a better future for Filipino families, especially the youth,” Lapena said.
