Art enthusiasts are tagging their friends in a Facebook post of BGC Arts Center.
This was after the art page posted “The Water Lily Pond” painting of French painter Claude Monet last Friday with the text “Coming to BGC January 2024.”
“An epic adventure into French Impressionism is coming to the BGC Arts Center this January. Stay tuned!” BGC Arts Center wrote in its post, accompanied by a purple heart and artist palette emojis.
While BGC Arts Center has not included further details in its post, Facebook users then flooded the teaser post with the name of Monet. Many of them expressed excitement over the possibility that there will be an exhibit featuring the works of the French artist.
“Can’t wait!” a Facebook user commented.
“Monet!!! FINALLYYY,” another wrote.
“I hope I’ll get to visit this someday,” a commenter said.
Others are tagging their friends and significant others to let them know about the teaser.
The Facebook post has since garnered more than 26,000 reactions, 6,800 shares and 1,800 comments so far.
BGC Arts, being run by the Bonifacio Art Foundation Inc. BAFI is described on its website as a “non-profit organization that champions the arts and the sciences in elevating community and national life.”
Currently, it houses the Van Gogh Alive exhibition, a multi-sensory art experience presented by BAFI with Del Monte Philippines.
It showcases more than 3,000 crystal-clear images of Dutch Post-Impressionist painter Vincent Van Gogh’s world.
Van Gogh Alive is open to the public until January 14.
Last August, another multi-sensorial exhibit was featured in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
BGC Immersive showcased Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci’s work in an immersive media exhibit titled “The Wisdom of Da Vinci.”
The exhibit, by award-winning studio OUCHHH, featured artificial intelligence data paintings in thematic galleries during its run.
