A Filipino nurse was over the moon after interacting with Taylor Swift at the premiere of the “Eras Tour” concert film.
The nurse named Arnold Uy uploaded pictures of him beside Taylor, along with the other guests at the star-studded event in a theater in Los Angeles on October 11, Wednesday.
“I just can’t believe I met Taylor Swift, she said hi, took my phone, and took a selfie,” Uy said.
He also quoted Taylor who thanked them, saying: “Hi, thanks for coming.”
In the post, Uy shared that he received the invite from Taylor Nation, the singer’s public relations team.
“Sooo thankful for Taylor Nation for sending the invite via Twitter/X. It was so hard trying to keep it to myself but I can finally say I went to the premiere of The Eras Tour Film and met Taylor Swift in person,” he said.
Uy’s post soon garnered 64,000 reactions, 461 comments and 16,000 shares on the platform.
Of these reactions, 52,000 people reacted with hearts.
The comments section was also filled with congratulatory messages that he met Taylor in person.
Others left wishful “sana all” comments.
“Sana all Noldy,” a Facebook user said.
“Sana ol nong Noldz!” another Facebook user commented.
In an interview with Balita.net, Uy shared that he has been working as a nurse in Fresno, California.
When he received the invite to attend the premiere of the “Eras Tour” concert film, he quickly booked a hotel and flight to Los Angeles.
“These are the things that I don’t think twice anymore because getting invited to go to an event by the one and only Taylor Swift can only happen once in a lifetime,” he was quoted in the report as saying.
“Luckily we were able to get a good deal on both the plane tickets and hotel,” he recalled.
Uy also documented his once-in-a-lifetime trip to see Taylor on his Instagram Reels and TikTok account.
Here, it was shown that Taylor went up to them for a quick interaction and took pictures with them.
@noldeyy13 I HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE WITH YOU. ✨ I got invited to the Eras Tour Film premiere not knowing what to expect. Never did I think that I would get to meet the one and only @Taylor Swift at the red carpet. She was the sweetest, said hi, took my phone, took a bunch of selfies, and finally signed my VIP souvenir ticket. If there’s one takeaway from this, it’s to always hold on to your dreams. Life works in mysterious ways and all you have to do is wait your turn. Manifest, pray, and work hard for it. It has always been my dream to meet Taylor and I can finally say that I did. A huge thank you to @Taylor Nation for sending me the invite! I will always cherrish this moment, I appreciate you guys sm!
