More Filipinos are discovering a popular pain relief brand’s soap products that were launched earlier this year.

Market analyst John Paul Tanyag on Tuesday, September 17 shared a clip promoting the Katinko Bar Soap with the caption:

“Wait, Katinko has a bar soap???” he wrote with a shocked face emoji.

He followed up his post with a graphic featuring the variants of the bar soap.

“Meron ding variants, whut, haha,” Tanyag wrote.

His posts caught the attention of some Filipinos who confirmed his discovery.

“Saw the video in [Facebook]. Joked [with] my wife [about] what I will give her this Christmas, hahahahaha,” an online user commented.

A quick search of the “Katinko soap” phrase on the X (formerly Twitter) platform yields some past posts of other Filipinos exclaiming their surprise at the brand’s particular product.

While the brand appeared to have officially launched the products this year, there are posts from 2023 that feature the soap.

In its December posts, Katinko posted pictures of gift sets that included their bar soap.

A Filipino also posted about it in the same period.

“I am today’s old nang nalaman kong may ginger soap ang Katinko. Huhu. I want,” the online user wrote on Dec. 19, 2023.

The pain relief brand raised awareness about its new soaps in January this year.

“Introducing Katinko’s new bar soaps, your ultimate relaxation companion for a soothing, moisturizing, and refreshing shower experience,” the brand said.

Based on its website, the Katinko soap — called K Essentials Castile Bar Soap — is “meticulously crafted from locally sourced ingredients.”

It has six variants that is said to “offer a diverse range of sensations” that cater to a person’s individual needs — the Revive, Relax, Detox, Refresh, Uplift and Focus variants.

The brand is known for its oil liniment and pain relief products popular with working adults.

It recently opened its flagship store in Cubao, offering its iconic pain-relieving items, scented candles, keychains, and more.
